When people talk about Walt Disney World, most people immediately think of one theme park – Magic Kingdom. Visions of Main Street, USA; Cinderella's Castle, Small World, Jungle Cruise, oh yeah, and Space Mountain, immediately jump to mind. It is easy to forget that Orlando’s own Walt Disney World is made up of different parks, resorts, and shopping areas.

Take a moment and think about the grand scale of Walt Disney World. Spanning over 25 acres, the Disney property is basically the equivalent to the size of Manhattan. Only 19 miles from Orlando’s International Airport (MCO), you are a hop, skip, and a jump from your plane to the heart of the Walt Disney property. As you drive through the Disney welcome gates, you realize how unique this world is. It offers you access to everything and anything you need to create a memorable vacation.

The Walt Disney World property, just outside Orlando is made up of more than 25 hotels, 110 Disney Springs shopping options, 200 places to eat, and more characters than you can even imagine. While all of this makes for providing an enjoyable and memorable vacation, it can seem overwhelming at first. But once you really dig in, you quickly realize that Disney is a world that can meet the needs of any vacationer. A thrill seeker, yup it is covered. A foodie – definitely, Disney is the place to be. A spa-seeker – yup, you can find that too! Family memories – there is no doubt Disney will give you a lifetime of memories.

As you start to plan your Walt Disney World vacation, be sure to take into consideration the whole world. Use your time to research what type of hotel meets your needs, what type of foods you want to try, and how you can pack the most into your vacation – whether it is one day or a week long holiday.

We always recommend that you make sure you have enough time to truly experience the parks. Understand what you want to see and plan your time accordingly. There is no right or wrong way to do Disney, but you want to make sure you are able to get to all of the things on your wish list.

Happy planning!
